Simmered Satsuma sweet potatoes with beef – japanese style

Ingredients:

2 sweet potatoes (roughly 400 gr)

200 gr. ground beef

2 tablespoon sake

1 tablespoon soya sauce

cooking oil (sunflower seeds)

Cut the potatoes in 2 cm slices and let them rest in water for at least 10 minutes.

Heat the oil in a skillet and brown the potato slices.

Add the ground beef. When it begins to brown add the sake and the pour 200 ml hot water.

Bring to boil. Then turn the heat to medium and add the soya sauce. Let simmer until the potatoes are tender and he liquid is gone.
